Post secondary education is expensive. One strategy that will keep supplemental costs down for students is faculty adoption of open educational resources (OER). OERs are freely available, no-cost educational literature and resources that can be integrated into courses as an alternative to traditional textbook selections. Through adoption of OERs and grant sponsored eTexts, I have been able to save my McNeese students more than $53,600 over the past 5 years!
