Recently, I was selected for the 2016-2017 cohort of LSU Digital Pedagogy Fellows. As an outgrowth of LSU's Digital Scholarship Lab, the Fellowship seeks to advance digitally enabled research, teaching, and learning. The Digital Scholarship Lab partners with faculty, staff, and students to incorporate computational methods, new media, and digital technologies into classrooms and research.
"The Digital Pedagogy Fellows program is the first of its kind at LSU. We're delighted that Ms. White is one of the inaugural group of fellows," said Lauren Coats, Director of LSU's Digital Scholarship Lab, "her interest and experience in online pedagogy ensure that this important aspect of teaching in the 21st century is part of the group's conversations. We look forward to learning with and from her during the program."
Through participation in a series of lectures and workshops, LSU Digital Pedagogy Fellows will be empowered to explore emerging methodologies and practices in digital humanities. Support from LSU's Digital Scholarship Lab will be provided to Fellows as they construct a digital framework for courses to be taught subsequently at LSU and other institutions of higher learning.
