McCauley Enrolled in Online Teaching Training

I have enrolled in the Online Learning Consortium's (OLC) training program "New To Online: Teaching Essentials". This course is a preliminary course that will prepare me for enrollment in the OLC Online Teaching Certification program. Through this program, I will complete courses focused on basic course design, special educational needs of online learners, and integration of game theory and technology into higher education courses. In addition to required coursework, I will also develop a complete online course framework under the guidance of an experienced online educator.

I would summarize my experience with this, "Online education is becoming a necessity for many academic programs. If my goal is to prepare competent and effective professionals to serve families, I have to use every tool possible. The OLC certification program is a great opportunity to prepare me for teaching in a virtual classroom as well as in a traditional setting."
